anna's page
greetings!
9/29/25 - wipsince the about me on my welcome page is pretty short, i thought i'd do a longer post explaining a bit more about myself :D
as i said before: hi, i'm anna! i also go by annaxangel because my online persona is a little angel. i've always been drawn to unapolgetically cute and whimsical things, so i wanted my website to reflect that~
i don't personally have nostalgia for the old web (it's a bit before my time), but i do really connect with the individuality and passion of the web revival movement! i have some pages i find inspiring and resources on my site, so check those out if you're interested.
my college thesis helped me realize i actually really like long-form writing! i wrote a novella for that and am working on a new one i started recently! both involve my original characters and universe, so i'm very passionate about them and their messages.
i've been physically disabled for the better part of a decade. it can be a difficult thing to accept, especially as a young person--people often assume i'm lazy or just move weirdly, not that i have a disability. i like to be open about this because i know how isolating it can be. you are not alone!

some things i like:
- working on my ocs
- cross stitch
- sanrio (my favorite character is my sweet piano)
- pink
- classic and romantic literature
- art and fashion history
- the victorian era
games i play:
- minecraft
- animal crossing
- pony town
- honkai: star rail (i love argenthill!)
- sky: children of the light
- cookie run: kingdom
- vrchat
recent media interests:
- chiikawa
- uma musume
- moomins
- castlevania and castlevania: nocturne
- berserk
if you like similar stuff or just want to talk, drop a comment on my neocities profile ! i'd love to be friends :D

site info
my site's mascot is called annasheep! she's an extremely fluffy pink sheep with bows on her ears and huge sparkly eyes. i first drew her in june 2024, but her design has changed a lot since then! here's some drawings of her:

i randomly got bit by the indie web bug in december 2024 and made an intensely scuffed version of this site before my interest slowly fizzled out. i hit a 3-part wall:
- i had no experience in coding and was getting a bit frustrated with stuff not working how i wanted it to,
- as someone with frequent hyperfixations, a new thing often sparks my passion again (Pony Town and Netflix's Castlevania, go figure),
- i didn't have anything i really wanted to put on a website at the time.
anybody can make a website regardless of experience. go out there and have fun!
